Wheat Ale | 5.5% ABV | 25% IBU
A crisp, lightly hopped American wheat ale brewed with honey from Sorensen’s Honey Farm. Honey added late in the brewing process makes this beer honey-forward. From the aroma to the finish, you will know there is honey in this beer. Enjoy during patio season or as a nice break from the big beers of winter.
When you are bogged down in the middle of the dog days of summer this wheat ale can help lift your spirits and the sweat off your brow. Unlike some of the more conventional lawn mower beers this one is flavor packed with honey like sweetness and sharp citrusy flavors from the wheat. The wheat also adds a light fluffy like texture which helps you cool down on hot summer days.
Northbound came on the scene 2012 after crowd funding their way into production. The model worked and the brewery is now a proud winner of a Silver Medal in the World Beer Cup, one of the most prestigious beer competitions in the world. Unlike many other breweries in the Twin Cities, Northbound Smokehouse is truly a brew pub with a restaurant and full bar. Their Smokehouse Porter epitomizes Northbound Smokehouse, a great brewery with fantastic BBQ and a large whiskey selection- capturing the essence of smokey, grilled foods and pairing well crafted brews.
