  • Berliner Weisse | 5.2% ABV | 3% IBU

    Details

This is a very old, traditional beer style. Originally brewed long before the advent of modern brewing, this beer is sour, a little funky and very refreshing. We took ours and let it sour in the kettle before boiling it for only a brief moment - to get a tart and refreshing brew. Brewers often add sweetened syrups, we have several to choose from, but our Berliner Weisse is excellent on its own as well. - Brewer

In 1883 Day built what would be called the Day Building, where Day Block now brews its always fresh beers. Day Block Brewing honors the previous businesses and the hardships they faced with the mantra “Blood, sweat, tears (and now beers)”. To provide their customers with the freshest and best quality beer and food Day Block receives all their ingredients from locally sourced farms, like it was done back in the times of Leonard Day.

Lake Monster Brewing Lake Monster was founded in 2013, contract brewing their Empty Rowboat IPA and Calhoun Claw Pilsner at Sand Creek Brewing in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Their goal though, was to be based on Minneapolis or St. Paul. In December 2015 they opened their own taproom/brewery in a rejuvenated industrial area off of University Avenue in St. Paul. They make modified versions of traditional American and European styles, adding a touch of this or that to give them a unique twist.
